• Raquela

Raquela is an exciting and new artist that hails from Oakland, CA. She studied voice (Opera) and Drama/Music in Los Angeles, which eventually lead her onto Broadway. Some of her credits include the "Acid Queen" in Tommy, "Julie" in Show Boat as well as original roles in Off-Broadway's "Bat Boy". Raquela also had the incredible honor of working one-on-one with George C. Wolf, Steven Schwartz, Des McAnuff, Wayne Cilento, Susan Stroman, and Harold Prince.

Now Raquela transforms her talent onto the pop/dance scene. Her obsession with dance music really began after seeing a t-shirt that read, "DISCO IS DEAD!" Disco inspired Raquela to venture artistically into different Electronica and Dance Music styles of today!

Since experiencing the demise of Disco in the 70's and then the raise of New Wave during the 80's, Raquela figured out her reason to write for Electronic Dance producers all over the world. As a lyricist and vocalist, Raquela enjoys splicing some of her own life's experience into her music while at the same time exploring emotional fantasy worlds from the past and looking into the future.

Her unique vocal style and song writing skills have given her the opportunity to start working with the crew at Amathus Music. Her first two releases are songs written by Chris Panaghi from DJG Productions. Raquela now feels confident that her musical skills in the dance music scene will not only grow distinctively but also benefit those who will listen to her music.
