Jeff Hanc
 Jeff Hanc has been a professional musician since his teens, working as a keyboardist in wedding bands and studios from the age of fifteen. Not long after, Mr. Hanc won the prestigious Kool Jazz Festival Award (jazz piano) that allowed him to attend the Berklee College of Music in Boston free of charge for a year. He further attended classes and matriculated credit in the Julliard School of Music in New York City (piano and composition), as well as Oberlin College in Ohio, where he graduated, receiving degrees in Music Composition and Philosophy.
After moving to New York, Mr. Hanc met local drumming legend Ricc Sheridan, with whom he formed Isle of Skye, an improvisational duo that caught the attention of Peter Gabriel and Lenny Kravitz. It was also at this time that Mr. Hanc met NY House Music Pioneer Little Louis Vega and started getting active in the NY House/Dance world as a session keyboardist and guitarist. Much of his work was featured on MTV’s “Rock the Vote” leading to other commercial work.
Via exposure from his Dance work, Mr. Hanc soon found himself working in the camp of Ric Wake (Mariah Carey, Anastacia, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson) and Sony Music. Here, working alongside Chris “The Greek” Panaghi, Mr. Hanc remained active programming/tracking/sequencing exclusive dance remix work for prominent Sony artists, including Shakira (“Underneath Your Clothes”), Marc Anthony (“I’ve Got You”), Giselle D’Arco (“Dimelo Ya”) and Celine Dion (“A New Day Has Come”). Beyond Dance, Mr. Hanc also worked as the in-house session pianist for the Wake group, featured on songs by Lionel Ritchie (“Long Long Way To Go”) and hits from Platinum Icelandic artist Johanna.
Most recently, Mr. Hanc has worked in Greece, writing songs for Platinum and grammy-winning artist Anna Vissi (whom Rolling Stone has dubbed “the Madonna of Greece”), veteran French jazz drummer Daniel Humair (Jean-Luc Ponty, Phil Woods, Stephane Grapelli), and Platinum Latin Rapper and Reggae Tone pioneer Mexicano 777. He is also active producing and writing with legendary UK Dance DJ/Remixer Bert Bevans (Paul McCartney, Red Hot Chilly Peppers, Depeche Mode, Luther Vandross) and songwriter Lee Harrocks (Enrique Inglesias, Lindsay Lohan). Mr. Hanc further owns and operates a cutting-edge professional recording studio. |
