Margot
Margot is a singer/songwriter from New York whose musical style is a combination of pop, electro and dance music. This young artist has always known that creating music was her calling in life. Margot's voice was first recognized when she was just a little girl. At the age of 6, her mother introduced her to the songs of Broadway musicals and the young star simply couldn't get enough. It was then that she began performing in countless voice recitals, school plays, talent shows and choral concerts.
"Music is something that comes so natural to me. It gives me a sense of peace and fulfillment that I don't get from anything else."
In recent years, Margot has been performing at nightclubs throughout Manhattan. Her style and sound are often compared to Madonna, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga as well as Kylie Mingoue, all of whom Margot considers her musical influences. Margot recently graduated from New York University with a bachelor's degree in music business, entrepreneurship and the arts.
"I wanted to develop and distinguish myself as an individual before I jumped into an industry I knew nothing about. Attending NYU allowed me to do that and provided me with a strong foundation upon which I can build a prosperous musical career," says the 24 year-old singer.
Now Margot is ready and hard at work in the studio recording. She teamed up with veteran producer Chris "The Greek" Panaghi, who is widely known for producing and remixing the likes of top artists including; Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan, Aqua, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion and countless others. After hearing Margot sing, Panaghi jumped on the opportunity to work with this talented new recording artist. Chris says, “I think we make a good team. My innate focus and close attention to detail allows me to seek perfection within Margot and help guide her musical career as I know she accepts nothing less than the best from herself.”
Margot says, "When I hear music I love, the world around me stops. I lose track of everything else and become consumed by the sounds." She wants to give this same experience to others through her work and her performances.
Margot believes that, "If you want to get anywhere in life you have to make things happen for yourself. You have to go after what you want and be relentless." With this drive and determination combined with her passion for music and creativity, this talented songstress is bound to achieve all of her musical aspirations. Nothing will stand in her way! |
